Accessibility Statement

Last updated August 17, 2026

Mellow is committed to making its website, web application, interactive rooms, focus tools, and related services accessible to as many people as reasonably possible.

We are continuing to improve Mellow’s accessibility as the Service develops.

1. Our Accessibility Goal

Our goal is to provide an experience that is usable by people with a wide range of abilities, devices, and access needs.

As Mellow evolves, we aim to consider recognized accessibility practices, including principles reflected in the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (“WCAG”).

Mellow does not currently represent that every page, feature, room, animation, or interactive element fully conforms to a particular WCAG level unless expressly stated following appropriate testing or review.

2. Areas We Aim to Support

Where reasonably practical, Mellow aims to provide:

  • Keyboard-accessible navigation
  • Clear and consistent navigation
  • Readable text and interfaces
  • Sufficient text contrast
  • Meaningful labels for interactive controls
  • Logical heading structures
  • Accessible forms
  • Visible focus indicators
  • Alternatives for important non-text content
  • Responsive layouts
  • Compatibility with common assistive technologies
  • Controls for audio where audio is not essential
  • Reduced dependence on color alone to communicate important information

3. Interactive Rooms

Mellow includes visual and interactive digital environments.

Some rooms may include:

  • Animated objects
  • Moving backgrounds
  • Ambient effects
  • Interactive decorations
  • Weather effects
  • Companion animations
  • Sound
  • Visual transitions

We aim to improve the accessibility of these experiences over time.

Where practical, important functionality should not depend solely on a decorative animation or visual effect.

4. Motion and Animation

Some Mellow environments may contain motion or animation.

We aim to respect device or browser preferences such as reduced-motion settings where reasonably practical.

As Mellow develops, we may provide additional controls that allow users to reduce or disable certain animations or visual effects.

Some decorative effects may still be visible depending on the room, browser, device, or feature involved.

5. Audio

Mellow may include ambient sounds, music, nature sounds, environmental audio, or other audio features.

Where practical, users should be able to control audio volume or disable audio.

Mellow should not require users to hear ambient audio in order to access basic account, billing, navigation, or subscription functionality.

6. Visual Content

Mellow uses visual environments as a significant part of the experience.

We aim to provide accessible text, controls, labels, and navigation for essential functionality even when decorative visual elements cannot be fully represented through assistive technology.

Decorative images may not always include detailed alternative descriptions when they do not convey information necessary to use the Service.

7. Keyboard Navigation

We aim for important Mellow functionality to be usable with a keyboard where reasonably practical.

This may include:

  • Navigation
  • Account controls
  • Subscription controls
  • Forms
  • Buttons
  • Settings
  • Focus tools
  • Important interactive controls

Some complex room interactions may require additional accessibility improvements as the Service develops.

8. Screen Readers and Assistive Technology

We aim to use meaningful HTML structures, labels, and controls that improve compatibility with assistive technologies.

However, compatibility can vary depending on:

  • Browser
  • Device
  • Operating system
  • Screen reader
  • Assistive software
  • Mellow feature
  • Third-party integration

We cannot guarantee identical functionality across every combination of assistive technology and device.

9. Color and Contrast

Mellow’s rooms may intentionally use different visual themes, including dark, light, atmospheric, and decorative environments.

For essential interface elements, we aim to maintain sufficient contrast and readability where reasonably practical.

Because room artwork may contain decorative color combinations, not every visual element is intended to communicate important information.

10. Forms

We aim for important forms to include clear labels, understandable instructions, and usable error messages.

This includes forms related to:

  • Account access
  • Contact requests
  • Billing
  • Subscription management
  • Privacy requests
  • Settings

11. Third-Party Services

Some functionality is provided by third-party services.

These may include:

  • Stripe
  • Google authentication
  • Supabase
  • Hosting providers
  • Other infrastructure or service providers

Accessibility of third-party interfaces is partly controlled by those providers.

Mellow does not control every aspect of a third-party service’s accessibility.

12. Browser and Device Support

Accessibility and functionality may vary depending on the browser, device, operating system, screen size, and assistive technology you use.

For the best experience, users should generally use a reasonably current browser and operating system.

13. Known Limitations

Because Mellow is an evolving interactive application, some accessibility limitations may exist.

Potential areas may include:

  • Complex visual room interactions
  • Decorative animations
  • Drag-and-drop interactions
  • Dynamic content
  • Custom controls
  • Audio-rich environments
  • Visual-only decorative elements
  • Third-party interfaces

The presence of a limitation does not mean that Mellow considers it unimportant. We may prioritize improvements based on impact, technical feasibility, and user feedback.

14. Accessibility Feedback

If you experience difficulty accessing Mellow, we encourage you to contact us.

Helpful information may include:

  • The page or feature you were using
  • The problem you encountered
  • Your browser
  • Your device
  • The assistive technology you use, if applicable
  • What you were trying to accomplish

You are not required to disclose a disability or medical condition in order to report an accessibility problem.

15. Alternative Assistance

If an accessibility issue prevents you from completing an important account, billing, privacy, or subscription-related action, contact Mellow through the Contact page.

We will make reasonable efforts to help provide the information or functionality through an alternative method where feasible.

16. Continuous Improvement

Accessibility is an ongoing process.

As Mellow changes, we may:

  • Improve keyboard navigation
  • Add better labels
  • Improve contrast
  • Reduce unnecessary motion
  • Improve form accessibility
  • Improve screen-reader support
  • Add additional accessibility preferences
  • Update room interactions
  • Improve compatibility with assistive technologies

17. No Medical Representation

Accessibility features are intended to improve usability.

They do not make Mellow a medical, therapeutic, diagnostic, or assistive healthcare service.

Mellow remains a general productivity, focus, relaxation, and digital-environment service.

18. Changes to This Statement

We may update this Accessibility Statement as Mellow changes or as we improve accessibility practices.

When updated, the Last Updated date at the top of this page will be revised.
